Enlisted 8/3/1861 at Tampa. He was mortally wounded in the left side 1/2/1863 and captured at Murfreesboro. He died 2/4/1863 at US Hospital #4, Nashville and was buried in the city cemetery, grave 3291.
He did not survive to receive a Florida Confederate Veteran's Pension.
