1ST LT. JAMES P.B. HASKINS (HASKEW/HASKELL) -WIA-POW

Age at enlistment: 22

Born: Abt. 1839

Died: unknown

Married: unknown

Final Resting Place: unknown

Appearance:  5' 6", dark complexion, dark eyes, dark hair

Enlisted in Tampa 6/6/1861 as 2nd Lt. but was reduced to Sgt. 6/10/1862. He was slightly wounded in the arm 12/31/1862 at Murfreesboro and wounded in the thigh 9/20/1863 at Chickamauga. He was elected 2nd Lt in November 1863 and captured 11/25/63 at Missionary Ridge and survived in Johnson's Island, OH POW Camp until released on oath 6/13, 1865.

No further information is known about Lt. Haskins.
 

No record of a Florida Confederate Veteran's Pension.
