Married: Sarah Jane (B. abt 1838 in Florida) on March 9, 1865

Children:  Martha Alice (B. abt 1865), Addie G. (B. abt 1867), Clara F (B. abt 1869), William O (B. abt 1872), Ruben (B. abt 1876) and James (B. abt 1870) all in Florida

 

Enlisted 8/1/61 at Tampa and deserted 9/1/1863

After the War a Francis (age 35 born Georgia) appears on an 1870 Hernando Co., FL US Census in Ft. Dade Post Office - occupation farm laborer.  Francis M (age 42 born Georgia) appears on 1880 Hillsborough Co., FL US Census next door to William (age 64 born Georgia) and Edie (age 62 born Georgia)

Pvt. Griffin's widow, Sara Jane Griffin received a Florida Confederate Veteran's Widow's Pension #A12819 approved 19 October, 1900 in Pasco, Co.
