Died:  Abt. June 1876

Final Resting Place: Unknown

Married:  Hanson Louphenie Polk (B:  4 Oct.  1845 in Suwanee Co., FL) on 16 April , 1865 in Polk Co.

Children:  Mary Meredith (b. 1869 in Polk Co, FL), John (B 1870 in Polk Co., FL), Adaline Luesennie (B 2 Feb 1863 in FL), Edmond Earl (B 6 Apr 1875 in Polk Co., FL; D Jan 1937), Nettie (B. 1878 in FL)

 

Enlisted 7/16/61 at Tampa.  He was on detached service driving cattle since October 1863.

Pvt. Crews' widow, Hanson, applied for and received a Florida Confederate Veteran's Widow's Pension (A01778) approved December 1915, while residing in Hillsborough County, FL.  (She applied in the name of  H.L. Higgins upon her divorce from B.F. Higgins. According to Pension application, Pvt. Crews transferred from Chickamaugua to drive cattle, reporting to James McKay in South Florida.  W.F. Reynolds was witness for Pension Application.
