Sunny South Guards, CSA of Tampa on September 17, 2011.

Requirements:

Dress fabric: must be white only
Hoop: Should of moderate size for a young lady
Shoes: Dark color slipper type – NO tennis shoes; Reeboks, flip-flops, etc.
Petticoat: Worn under hoop next to legs is preferred (in case hoop accidentally flips up).
Alternative would be – light colored sweat pants or jeans

 Suggestions:

Fabric type: Any plain white fabric may be used
            Buttons: Maybe pearl or covered
Belt: Should be white with pearl or silver finished buckle
Collar: May be white lace or plain white fabric; can be made detachable, if desired.
Sleeve style: May be ruffled as in above photo or maybe a short puffed style.
Hair Ornaments: Since each dress will also have a blue sash, either red or white ribbons
            or flowers would be appropriate.

Group Song:

In addition to the poem, the young ladies will combine in singing "The Bonnie Blue Flag".

Here is a link to the lyrics.  Please rehearse this patriotic song on your own.
A singing rehearsal will be scheduled.  It is best if you have the words memorized.

Here is a link to a U-tube video of the song from "Gods and Generals" for your use in learning the song.
